Need help with a few NPGMC songs - Mac user I purchased a lot of music from the Musicology download room, and up until recently (about 6 months ago or so) I could play them on my Mac. Now I cannot.
I have kinda "pieced-together" The Chocolate Invasion and Slaughterhouse by using the MP3 files from Year One of NPGMC, but there are a few songs missing to complete those albums. My question: has any Mac user had any luck playing/burning these songs, or by any chance getting the files into iTunes? I really want to get these 2 CDs (and a few individual songs) to play for me. Right now they are just wasted files and wasted money sitting on my hard drive.

THey are .wma files.
Did you recently change your hardware, or reinstall your O/S? You may have lost your license file.

Yeah, usually the license to play these files is saved to a folder somewhere. If that folder is moved or deleted, it can't find them and refuses to play. Also the license will only work on that particular pc.
Have you tried playing them while connected to the internet? If you play them using Windows Media Audio it should re-look for the licenses I think... Also, you could re-download them from the Musicology store - click the 'UR Account button under the Musicology mixing desk - click 'click here to verify ur purchases' and then once you've supplied your login name and password, it should show you all your purchases and there's a download button to re-download them. You can burn them to disc (becoming a playable CD) only using Windows Media Audio to do so (I've also heard Roxio can handle it). After that, you can then rip them back onto your mac as mp3s and the license protection is removed. Mp3s you should then be able to put into ITunes.
