Just thinking out out loud here. Maybe it's the testoterone. That's the hormone that generally make men the jerks we are. Women may be instinctively attracted to it. The more of it, the stronger the attraction. Whatever it is, women just don't seem to like nice guys as much as their malicious counterparts. Who knows why? Maybe the idea of an insensitive jerk loving you is more appealing than a guy who strives to treat everyone with dignity and respect.Think about it. If the Dali Llama loves you, big deal. He strives to love everyone or so he would have us believe. But if Mephistopheles loves you, thats a bigger boost to the old ego. "I'm special! I'm special! He hates everybody but me!" The problem with that scenario is that eventually he'll turn on you too. Women love these roughneck thug types popularized in videos. That is, until the thuggism comes your way. Then they look to a nice guy to pick up the pieces -- only to repeat the process again and again ad infinitum. The only thing that seems to break this cycle is pain. Pain is a merciless teacher, but an effective one.

Prince can be nasty expecialy to women sometimes. i agree. i'm surprised anyone would think Prince wouldn't insult someone's appearance. he might not do such a thing often, i wouldn't know, but he definitely has it in him to be mean like that when he wants to. at one of the Celebrations Prince basically called Matt Fink fat in front of everybody. IIRC, Rosie Gaines has herself said that Prince would make direct and indirect derogatory comments about her weight/looks which made her feel bad. and at a concert in recent years, in front of the entire audience, Prince insulted some random girl's looks with a comment like "I wouldn't be seen sitting with a chick like her" or something like that. he didn't need to make any remarks about any of those people, he couldn't just kept his opinions to himself. i also heard he made some less than sensitive remarks about Mayte's appearace when they were together. i love Prince and he's got a lot of good qualities, but he can mean sometimes, especially regarding looks.

Well, look, I understand Prince wanting Mayte to have had a certain body weight if she was going to be preforming onstage with him...so in that regard I can understand him getting on her ass about it. Like Mayte said she LOVES food just like me so we definatly have to watch what we eat but yeah I am sure Prince wasn't nice about it to her. He seems like the type that is definatly not shy when it comes to telling his women when they need to tighten their butt up.

Guys who treat women poorly get more action then men who treat women like queens. It's a fact jack. People think being called a nice guy is a compliment but it's not because women are not breaking down the doors of nice guys. Women have real issues when it comes to bad boys and nice guys. When it comes to women nice guys finish last.

I heard this from a guy somewhere in Wisconsin too!..He was from Atlanta, GA...said it was Gospel... i heard this somewhere too, so i emailed Wendy at wendyandlisa.com and her answer was "hahahahaha . . .NO" when i asked her if that was Susannah in the Kiss video. on the other point, i remember watching Arsenio Hall and he made a big point about how upset he was that Prince used two girls in that video and that he put his friend (monique) behind that veil . . . not sure who the other girl was though. music is its own reward - Sting

Well, neither of the "veil girls" look like her, so that one is a pretty silly rumour. As for the rumour that Wendy and Susannah had pulled a "switch", that one is also pretty goofy, considering that, at the time, Susannah had really long hair, and Wendy had a very short 'do. It is obviously Wendy playing the guitar in the video. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones.
