Around the World in a Day

Was this song ever released as a single? I LOVE it. I wish the music single released today could be more like that. It's so full of substance. Listening to it really makes you feel like your going around the world. It's like going on a little journey. I'm not musically inclined, so I don't know instruments and harmonys or whatever, but this song seems like it has a lot of cool instruments in it, no?

Lisa's brother basically wrote this song. He played many of the instruments on this as well. P changed some words around, but, it's David's song. For his birthday, P bought him studio time. So, David went in and cut this song.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

Oh really, I had no idea. It seemed to me like this song kinda set the tone for the rest of the album. The whole album is really incredible.

No it was not a single. (the singles were Rasp B, Pop Life, America (and Paisley Park in europe)

and as far as David writing it... i do not doubt it. they say that prince stole a number of his songs. (Party up, Do me Baby, and even Purple Rain)

The unreleased remix is pretty cool. The snare is left in throughout which gives the song more of a smoother flow and makes it sound more dancy.

This is one of those weird songs that though I don't really like it, it's still cool that P recorded it.
To me it's an experiment with results that didn't connect with me but not cuz I don't think that it's not good. It's becuz it's not for everybody. But I was glad to hear him experimentin'.
The rest of the album is fantastic.

I love this song, too. The album credits David Coleman, John L. Nelson and Prince, in that order, as the songwriters, btw.
