Moonbeam Levels Is there some justifiable reason why this wasn't released on 1999? It fits the album perfectly and should've been a big hit. Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid. | |

Probably cuz it sounds too similar to "Free". Same thing that happened to Stevie Wonder. Stevie wrote "Maybe Your Baby" and "Tell Me Something Good" around the same period. He had to go with one, because both were too similar for him to put out. He picked one and Rufus with Chaka released the other. P probably leaned towards "Free" cuz of the lyrical content is stronger. I dig "Moonbeam" a lot though. Very cool riff. But there's no way P would have released both and definately not on the same album. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

This would've been a good B-side to that album, but doesn't quite fit the album itself.
Kinda like the B-sides of PR and ATWIAD - very strong songs too. |

I just recently heard this song and I love it. Not to get off the subject, but I also heard Extralovable and cannot understand 4 the life of me why that song wasn't released. It is tight. I'm back!!!!!!! | |
