Camille2002, I can tell you like the Camille era alot! If you want the Linn LM-1, good luck, it's ultra rare, you might, and that might be checking everyday for a looong time find it on eBay. If you want the LinnDrumm (LM-2), you can find those more often but not as much on eBay. Once you find it you will love it as soon as you use it! It's like an insight of what went on in Prince's creative ideas with the Linn. I hope one day Prince will bring it back!

Yes, that's a great alternative if you can't find one, BUT if an LM-1 suddenly appears in your life, TAKE IT! Why, becuase you'll understand many things about how a musician composes on the thing. How you wish all modern drum machines were this easy. How the buttons feel, the machine pumps, the feel of the sliders, the exact original tweaking of the pitch nobs! AND how good the TIMING is! If only your MIDI stuff and today's drum machines had this kind of timing, what a time saver. It totally let's you lay down a beat in 2 measures and then move on to the other instruments! Modern day drum machines make you WASTE time on tweaking these things, quantizing, setting up measures, etc. Then that warm anolog sound coming through your board! Sample just don't do it justice! Edited to add stuff! [This message was edited Wed Jun 19 11:30:48 PDT 2002 by FlyingCloudPassenger]
