Can we please have a proper brand new CD?

I cant say im that bothered these days. Prince finally lost me with Musicology (the only album I have never bought). However, I am having a mini-resurgence in enjoying his music again as Ive been delving into the bootleg world again and aquiring the stuff I never got my hands on before.

Im bored of the 80's stuff at the moment and the new millenium stuff aint nothing to write home about, but there is a wealth of early 90's stuff which is extremely underated and (by and large) unreleased... A most prolific period no doubt.

But a new album, as much as I will be eagre to have a listen as soon as something happens, I know deep down that he has moved on musically to a point that doesnt really excite me. Unless he comes out with some seriously sick, dark funky bass with kickass guitar work and big pounding drums (and minimal use of the fucking horn section for a change).

If SST is a clue to what he is doing right now, then all I can say is that weve all heard it before - been there, got that... here we go again. Then again, maybe SST & BNO are just red herrings...
