Been alotta good music this year, but it just doesn't fill that 'Prince void'..

Probably the most boring year I can remember since listening to Prince.

1997 was pretty dead, BUT we had a 3 disc set to hold us over.

I can't understand why the NPGMC cannot be used to release more recordings that would not appeal to the mainstream market.

He has a direct outlet to his hardcore audience and its just sat there idle, gathering digital dust.

I love the guy, but sometimes .....

For Christ sake! Give the man a break. He already had the top selling tour last year touring 96 CITIES and he's older. He's not getting any younger, stop trying to go back to the days when he used to put out and album and tour every year. He's been there and done that. If anybody deserves a break it's definitely him.

More and likely he's probably putting together something for "06", but for now "05" is his year to rest. Leave him alone!

artists often release new stuff during the holiday season...right off hand, i can think of missy elliott's "under construction" and gwen stefani's album, neither of which were exactly commercial bombs. it wouldn't be at all unusual if prince were to release a new album this month or next month. not unusual at all. nope.

The lack of any albums doesnt really bother me as the last time he was quiet he came up with The Rainbow Children after the weak effort that was Rave un2 the joy fantastic.If taking his time means a solid 14 track masterpiece then so be it.Its only the lack of a concert in scotland that leaves me depressed.The last time prince was in scotland was 1994/5.
