Heck, about the only similarity with the bluesy number from the concert and the studio version are the lyrics. Otherwise, the songs are night and day. Walking alone in the dark, I see nothing u see

Blues in C is one of my favs too... i think that he should have released it in something but you can never win. Its also one of the very first songs that i arranged and played. Nothings better than the Lovesexy era.

The interesting thing about Blues in C is that it's exactly like an old T-Bone Walker song, albeit with altered lyrics. Maybe that's why it's never been released? It IS a great song though.

I love the version on the Lovesexy concert. There R some gems that P has refused 2 release. I also really liked how he performed Forever In My Life/It in the SOTT concert film.

Blues in C was performed better on the Nude tour imho Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I think the studio one is kinds "weird-cheesy" when put back to back with the live version, but then, what do I know, right? Walking alone in the dark, I see nothing u see

the only problem with the live lovesexy concert version is he fucks up the fast run in the guitar solo (noticed by guitarist friends as well). i wished he had done a longer solo though.

Supposedly one of the two versions of If I Had a Harem on The Work Vol.2 is a fake. I can believe it because it really doesn't sound like Prince at all. But yeah, the one that sounds completely different than the Lovesexy concert version is supposed to be the real deal.
