I've been around the org for a couple of years but I've never bothered to post anything. Mainly because posting at forums isn't really my thing. Most of the stuff posted is either crap or completely irrelevant, or some newbie asking the same stupid questions over and over again. Well, I decided to do this one post anyway to tell y'all a little bit about me and how I got hooked on to Lil' P.
I'm currently 18 years old and I started diggin' P at the age of 9. The first P video I ever saw "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World", which really intrigued me. I loved his falsetto and was fascinated (in a heterosexual way) by his unorthodox appearance. Well back then my lil' bro, who is two years younger than me, was also into P. I remember us goin' to some store and asking for a P record. The clerk told us P had a whole lot of albums and I remember thinking to myself something like "whoa that's cool". Anyway, the store had one P CD which we immediately bought (and y'all better be prepared to get shocked). That CD was NPS . I dug some of the stuff on the CD, not all, but I didn't think any of the cuts on it were complete rubbish and thus I grew more enthusiastic over P. The next P CD we bought was The Hits/The B-Sides, and well... the rest is history . Man, I remember us playing that CD to death . After that I started getting all the P albums I could get my
hands on. Some of the CDs I didn't necessarily like all that much at the time of purchase, but have grown on me over the years. Such albums incl. Lovesexy and Parade. My fav P album changes from time to time but my long-lastin favorites include SOTT. Released on the year I was born, SOTT contains pretty much NO bad songs (except that The Cross really hasn't grown on me yet). I was pretty darn pissed off when I saw you guys vote off the best SOTT song in the first round of the SOTT survivor. Yes, I'm talking about Slow Love. Ah well... I'm just a sucker for a good ol' P ballad/slow jam . I for one was not disappointed by Musicology. After the somewhat bizarre NEWS, Musicology was refreshingly.. erhm.. normal . On the downside tho it really is very NORMAL... and y'all know we P fans want perfection .I dig most of the stuff on the album, with Life 'O' The Party being the only cut I dislike. Actually, the only albums I don't listen to all that much are C&D and NEWS. When it comes down to fav songs it's really hard for me to name any particular songs, except TMBGITW which still means a lot to me. The thing is that I might listen to a song like 10 times a row and really dig it. Then I'll listen to it for a couple of days and then start listening to some other song.
Since I've been a fan for quite some time now, I own most of the officially released stuff (I'm missing The Black Album and some NPG stuff).
The reason I don't have all that stuff is probably because I've never been all that thrilled about buying stuff online.

E.g. my friend, who is a Pink Floyd fan, could create hybrid album names such as "Wish You Were The Dark Side Of The Moon" etc.
So I thought why not do the same thing with P's albums, he has got a lot to choose from anyway. I'll go first:

So, back to business, #1: I wasn't all that serious about thread jackers being the reason I don't post at forums, thread jacking is good-spirited fun (for the most part ). #2 Thank you Anji. #3 Thank you Scandalous69. #4 Nova, getting laid with P is number one on my "Ten Things To Do Before I Die" list, so don't worry, I'm working on it . Also if you must know why I actually chose to finally post here, well the reason is that I got tired of not having anyone to talk to about P. Or to clarify that: I don't know ANY Prince fans, in real life that is, and I've NEVER met any. Sure my bro still likes the Hits stuff and my girlfriend likes Musicology but that's not enough. So the reason I posted was due to me longing to come in contact with musically like-minded individuals, i.e. P fans.
