Anyways, I've heard Diddy make a reference to Prince (I think) on the show twice now.

When the girls are dancing, he always says LETS WORK!
And last night he was talking about going to Miami and he goes "Sex Sells" just like Morris says it in Purple Rain. I know thats a commom phrase, but he says it in the same tone and manner as Morris,and everything, like he mocking him.

People have used the word "work" when referring to dancing, even before the song "Let's Work" came out....."Work", "Work it", "You better work", Let's go to work", "Ah work now".....

As far as him being a Prince fan, he could be. He's a fan of anybody's music that he can slow the tempo down and sample for his own so called "music".

Diddy reminds me alot of Morris Day training Apollonia 6 in the warehouse, when Morris told them he wants 2 some perfection

Diddy IS a Prince fan and a big one at that. He was at the HOB show in Feb 2004 after the Grammy's. His picture was on NPGMC. Plus I heard that he went to 2 out of the 3 NYC Musicology shows last summer so it's true.

after the hall of fame induction - P Diddy was the first "celebrity" that i saw at the Club Black aftershow ....

There's a Prince mention in the new Biggie song that features Nelly, Jagga Edge and Diddy.....

He is actually a huge Prince fan. He also styled his business relationship with Farnsworth Bentley after Morris and Jerome. He has also said on MTB3. "I want some action. I wanna see asses wiggling I want perfection!"
