"like it´s 1999" Hi people
A co-worker emailed some news about Google, and the title was "Google is hiring like it´s 1999". Being brazilian (my english is very limited), I ask you: is it a regular english expression or they borrowed the line from "1999" ? Just curious... Thanks in advance. | |

Maybe it's a reference to the way so many programmers, etc. were being hired in 1999 to help fix hardware/software for Y2K?  Otherwise, no, it's not a common English expression.
