MAYBE, you're so simple, that anything beyond the usual "verse, chorus, verse, chorus, breakdown, chorus to fade-out" seems like fucking Mozart on LSD, ever thought of that?! Is NEWS really that complex? I don't think so, maybe to you it is.  | |

Preach on, ND. I'm a big Chopin & Liszt fan, and Prince's compositions on NEWS are ANYTHING but complex. They're very bland and ordinary, infact.
So yes, I guess Brand New Orleans is better, though it's not even a particularly good song. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

i quite like the version of SST/brand new orleans i've heard where the two tracks are fused together into one long jam, but i have to say that even in this form, i like it about equally as much as anything on N.E.W.S. both offerings are pleasant, but nothing to get terribly excited about. i have to slow my mind down a bit to really get into either of 'em. | |
