has anyone in the org ever written to prince and been answered? i was thinking that i wanted to write him a note. whether he writes back or not isn't really the point- i just want to know if he reads this forum...
i mean, what's the point of writing a fan letter if nobody sees it?

I wrote a letter to PP in 1998 and got a response, but as far as I know it wasn't from Prince.

i wrote a letter back in 94 or 95, don't remember which year for sure...and i got a letter back from gilbert davidson who was the pres. of his record company back then or something like that.

i wrote tommy barbarella once, and he wrote me back, in fact we still keep in touch from time to time.

All I can say is he does listen to the fans. I don't know if he writes the stuff himself or through his publicist, but I know he knows. I just wish I could feel less Anxiety whenever I'm around him. Sometimes I feel so sick and I feel like I'm gonna puke. I feel like I'm gonna lose it or Faint! I love him but I'm really scared around him. Sometimes this stuff happens and we act like fools. I just wish I didn't feel so shaky. I really feel sick now. I wanted to cancel my trip because of it. It's really a Scary feeling Xenophobia and I think Prince feels it also. Maybe he's so used to it ; that it doesn't faze him anymore. But I do know for sure he does know what people think about him and he does listen to good ideas. Peace!

I sent an email just recently and received a reply back just saying "Peace". Somehow I don't think he wrote back himself, but he probably gets to look at most of the stuff coming in. You got to remember that he probably gets up to 100's of emails/letters a week. He just wouldn't have the time to get to read every single one.

dear prince

hello . i have only written three "fan letters" in my 34years. counting this one. i have never written a letter to you before now. which is actually incredible, since you've been far and my favorite recording artist since july, 1984, when i first heard "take me with u", and then the rest of the purple rain soundtrack.
you really got my attention with those strings.
so i proceeded to go out and buy everything before that, and have since. i have fond memories
of going to the store and picking up all of your new releases ( i was a sophomore at kent state university when lovesexy came out-
i must've listened to the "dance on" and "lovesexy" 30 times consequtively-nothing sounds like you.) i was in the cast of "rent" on broadway when you came to see the show, and it was so cool to see you in the house. you were in orange, i think. mayte was with you, and you never came backstage, but several of us were buzzing cause you were in the house, and i know that jonathan larson, the show's composer, was a fan of yours before his untimely death. can anyone listen to "light my candle" "out tonight" or "today 4 u" and doubt that?
anyway, i wanted to say thanks for bringing me a lot of enjoyment, and for inspiring me as an artist. i'm not a musician, but
your inexhaustible creativity has kept me going during many a slow period...

no, i don't think you're perfect. or a god. i'm sure - i know -you're not perfect. but your music seriously gets me off...i am a fan. and wise, you are...(who the fuck am i, yoda...!)
and by the way, would you please, please, PLEASE consider releasing a live compilation? you would make score of your fans rejoice. although i know i can't speak for everyone, bt i have seen the suggestion on the forum over the years, and i know there are SOME folks out there would love it.
and i admit i would to see love people who are marginal fans or those who have lost interest in what you're doing be reminded of what a talent you are, especially live.
oh, and since i (may) have your ear (eye) -would you consider recording a version of stevie's "i love everylittlething about you", from "music of my mind"...?

in any event- even if i never hear from you, thank you for all the music, and i can't wait to hear whatever you do next.
by the way, "everywhere", and the guitar solo in "everlasting now" (among other moments)...ROCK!

eye can tell u what u wrote is run-of-the-mill, and trivial, it would not get a second glance, as it looks identical 2 thousands of others.

Prince won't take time with the mundane, get 2 ur point quickly, and make it hit home.

send ur emale here and eye guarantee eye will 4wrd it 2 prince 4 u.

even if he doesn't reply u can rest assured it went through his private emale, where every thing gets read...
