In the UK, gotta be Purple Rain, closely followed by Most Beautiful Girl in the World.
Most people my age (25) over here don't know Little Red Corvette and think Kiss is a Tom Jones song!!!!! So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

Because in 1982 "1999" didn't do as well on the Pop charts as WB had hoped -- though it did very well on the R&B (#4) and Dance (#1) charts. After "Little Red Corvette" became such a big hit on the Pop charts (#6), WB re-released "1999" in 1983, where it climbed higher than before and peaked at #12. i could be wrong, but i think "1999" peaked at #41 in 1982 (before reaching #12 when re-released in 1983) [Edited 11/2/05 9:50am] Yep, as a side note, "1999" spent one week on the Hot 100 in 1999 at #40
