Prince - 'CITY LIGHTS' questions I have 3 questions about the Bootleg 'City Lights'...
1) Is it the live 1999 tour in great quality? 2) What is the track-list? 3) Is it any good? “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!”

They're all soundboard recordings, so the quality is great as to be expected.
1999 Tour tracklists: Disc 1 : 1982/11/30 Masonic Temple Auditorium in Detroit (75:26) Controversy (5:14) Let's Work (5:31) Little Red Corvette (4:13) Do Me, Baby (7:11) Head (4:15) Uptown (5:01) How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore (7:28) Lady Cab Driver (8:44) International Lover (10:20) 1999 (10:01) D.M.S.R. (7:28) Disc 2 : 1983/02/10 Civic Center in Providence (61:45) Controversy (5:13) Let's Work (5:31) Do Me, Baby (6:37) D.M.S.R. (6:14) Still Waiting (2:50) How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore (6:29) Lady Cab Driver (3:14) Little Red Corvette (2:16) Dirty Mind (7:22) International Lover (7:34) 1999 (8:25) Is it any good? Yep! I bought an original set about 10 years ago, and very glad I am to have it to Remember, Google is your friend

Every CD in the set is top fucking notch. And they were all uncirculating shows before City Lights came out.
A must-own boot classic. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I don't have much far as sets but City Lights is the favorite set of what I do have. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

How many CDs make up the set? “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!”

11 cd's total. The 1985 Purple Rain show is on two discs and the 1986 Parade show is also on two discs. All the other shows are single discs, I think.

NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS. You want to discuss them, that's OK, but NO OFFER TO COPY, NO REQUESTS TO COPY, NO "WHERE CAN I GET", etc. NO POSTING OF LINKS TO THESE SITES EITHER. ***Violating posts will be removed and your account possibly deleted.*** Repo Man's got all night, every night.

I believe I heard that Bobby Z was the one who let them leak out. Try asking him

It seems like some of the best Prince material is rarely offered by Prince. Sometimes I wish he wasn't such a control freak and would let others market his work. But it's his work and he can do with it what he pleases.

(mentioned it here before) I've never heard 'International Lover' LIVE before apart from a brief bit on the NAGOYA '89 CD.... but never the full version from '82. You guys have convinced me to keep my eyes open for a copy! “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!”
