Are batman and Vault worth buying? Are these albums any good as a whole. I've heard like half the songs off each and sound mediocre to me. What y'll think? | |

Batman is worth buying.
I didn't know it at first though. I bought it over a year ago, saw some concert footage of him performing songs live fr. that soundtrack. Now i love it. 1st! the vault is okay - find it used for cheap (which shouldn't be too difficult).
i really like the batman soundtrack - i think prince caught a really cool, dark vibe on that album and it's a fun exploration of his gemini "good vs. evil" theme, wrapped up in the guise of a superhero film soundtrack. a lot of people knock this album, but it's one of my faves.  | |

The vault isnt really any good but as far as Batman goes its a very good movie soundtrack and i totally love tunes like the future and the arms of orion.out of ten i would give The Vault 4.5/10 and for Batman 7.5/10. | |

well ... erm ... Prince fans are notorious for different likes, dislikes , etc ....
"batman " soundtrack --- alot of my friends loved this soundtrack even though they did NOT like Prince ... in my opinion - it has some stand out tracks like "electric chair" , "vicki waiting" --- but most of the soundtrack is rehash Prince (to me "partyman is a rip off of "1999" , and "trust" is "baby i'm a star" all over.....  )... i actually liked the duet with sheena easton and "the future" , "batdance" and "the crush" ....
"the vault" is an album of truly rehash mis mosh ..... hard to categorize it ... i think "five women " is the stand out ... but most of it is throwaway .... in my opinion .... i bought this album on tape and never bought the cd !  | |

yeah i admit ... "the arms of orion" was one of those songs i still look back on ... and say ... "i liked that ???" ... to me it was different ... and i guess that attracted me to it ... not the usual Celine Dion love song ... etc ... alittle play with the stars , Orion .... missing someone ... etc .... and i actually like sheena's voice in "u got the look" and this song ... most of the songs on her album - i think are poopy (and alot of Prince fans dig "sugar walls", "101" , "lover in me" etc ... | |

The Vault - A great album done with real instruments - (Good Quality Music) People who don't like Prince and like Jazz will like "The Vault" | |

5 Women When The Lights Go Down (BRILLIANT!) Old Friends 4 Sale (I know it's not the original, but still good.) Extraordinary She Spoke 2 Me Great stuff. | |

I LOVE both albums! two of my most favs, I listen to both albums with out skipping ANY songs.
I love arms of Orion! I don't understand the utter disdain for that song...it's beautiful! "not a fan"  yeah...ok | |

Both albums are fine. If you don't like the music on the discs at least to a certain degree the fault is not on the music itself. | |

Batman is a good CD worth buying if only for Scandalous & Electric Chair. U will also find other gems there as well, like Lemon Crush, Vicki Waiting, The Future, Arms Of Orion and Trust. Oh, is that the whole CD minus the hit track Batdance (which 2 me is worst song on the CD), but it was a jam!
The Vault on the other hand is not that great. But I would buy bcuz it has GREAT standouts like She Spoke 2 Me, Extraordinary & the magnificent When The Lights Go Down. I have played that song 4 damn near all of Evanston, Il and everybody likes that 1. P. is at the top of his game with that 1. |

"The Vault" is awesome! pickit up . Batman Has 2 good tracks "Scandalous" and "Arms of Orion " download them for 2 bucks on MSN and save money . You can't experience the unknown will of God on your life until your doing the known will of God. | |
