Does anyone remember the "Blue" album?

I seem to remember a bootleg Prince CD, around 1993-1994, called The Blue Album or "Aqua" (something like that). I saw it in a used CD store around that time but have never seen/heard of it again.

If I remember correctly, it had a remix/alternate version of Dolphin, and the original Endorphinemachine.

I'm not asking where to get this, only CD details (tracklisting, etc).

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I had this, it was a bootleg of course.

It had the un-used prince album segues on, and some Gold Nigga stuff too. Just one of many rather random/cobled-together bootleg, they used to bang them out.

Video killed the radio star? Well, the net killed the bootleggers. smile

Edit: Sorry you wanted a tracklist didn't you:

OUTTAKES
1. I HEAR YOUR VOICE
2. KISS (ACOUSTIC DEMO)
3. THE VOICE
4. WE CAN FUNK
5. 51 HOURS
6. INSATIABLE
7. THE LOST o(+> SEGUES
GLAM SLAM ULYSSES
8. COME
9. ENDORPHINMACHINE
10. RACE
11. SPACE
12. PHEROMONE

DISC 2
OFFICIAL 'GOLD NIGGA' RELEASE
1. DEUCE & A QUARTER
2. 2GETHER
3. JOHNNY
4. GOLDIE'S PARADE
5. BLACK MF
6. GOLD NIGGA
THE RYDE DYVINE BROADCAST
7. MY TENDER HEART (ROSIE GAINES)
GEORGE CLINTON
8. MAKING IT EASY
9. BOOTY

I wouldn't bother trying to track it down, unless you specifically wanted that release, since all the material has either been officially released, or circulates in better quality.

There were a few other decent colour-themed out-take sets, like Red and Yellow, I'm guessing they were released on the same "label", but as I say, it's a guess, I'm sure a friendly orger will know more on that smile

I actually had Yellow on cassette. Knowing what was on Blue will put my mind at ease, even though I'm not going to search for it.

Thanks for posting!

Dammit mad an album named after me and I never heard of it! I should own that album just off GP. It probably had some nice cover art.

Yeah, it was a bootleg. The acoustic version of Kiss is on disc 1 as a hidden track at the end.

I bought mine about ten years ago at a record show in Buffalo NY for $20.00. There were a series of "color" boots. I liked "Platinum" best! I also have "red" and "Yellow"
Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.
