My sister bought me a little cheap $40 Casio keyboard for Christmas one year. I bought a piano book and learned where to put my fingers on the keys. The book taught me to play songs like "Jingle Bells" and Elvis' "Love Me Tender".

I was doing great until the book progessed to the black keys. Then it got complicated and I couldn't understand the book. I got bored and tried playing some songs by ear, with strictly the white keys. I learned to play a little of "Purple Rain" by ear. When I listened and played "1999", I was surprised....it was only three keys.

ithought it was C - Am - G - F on the verse.

it took me forever to figure it out

also, you do a little progression like this if you want:

Eb- Bb/D - Cm7 (hold) Eb-Bb/D -Cm7 - Bbsus2. (do it faster the 2nd time)
