I am just learning to play the drums and retaking piano lessons. Why miss all the fun that people on my indie are having. It's never too late to learn (or re-learn) music - I am 35 and am better than ever (smile). BTW: GG, your thread posts are strong. I really like the fact you focus on the music.

My sister bought me a little cheap $40 Casio keyboard for Christmas one year. I bought a piano book and learned where to put my fingers on the keys. The book taught me to play songs like "Jingle Bells" and Elvis' "Love Me Tender".
I was doing great until the book progessed to the black keys. Then it got complicated and I couldn't understand the book. I got bored and tried playing some songs by ear, with strictly the white keys. I learned to play a little of "Purple Rain" by ear. When I listened and played "1999", I was surprised....it was only three keys. Andy is a four letter word.

Try using a Gm11 (add the C) it adds more color. also, you do a little progression like this if you want: Eb- Bb/D - Cm7 (hold) Eb-Bb/D -Cm7 - Bbsus2. (do it faster the 2nd time)
