since his name on the marriage certificate is Prince Rogers Nelson it is now his legal name.
If 2 people lets say Mr. Smith and Ms. Jones decide to get married and change both of their last names to Nelson they can just write in on the marriage license what names they wish to go by after the marriage Am I seriously arguing this?

People do this kinda thing all the time. No big whoop. My mom legally changed her nickname into her legal first name. A friend of mine just had the spelling of her baby daughter's first name legally changed because she found a version of the name she liked better. Happens all the time.

not to mention, who really knows what he legally changed it to after the symbol as well
but, the main point is, does it matter? I guess some think they "know" him better than others if they truly know the answer....me, I don't care what he goes by, just as long as he keeps puttin out that funky music! He can name himself dildo for all I care!

A lot of things on this site don't matter, like some people collecting imports, vinyl (white label, purple laber, shit brown label), magazines, posters etc etc. Repo Man's got all night, every night.

His marriage was during his symbol days and it clearly states on the marriage cert that his name was Prince Rogers Nelson...hence he NEVER changed his name to in the first place bored and adding fuel to the fire

check his birth certificate!!! The birth certificate does say Roger, not Rogers, but his father SAID he named him Prince Rogers after his trio. Also my name was misspelled on my original birth certificate--partly because they asked my mom for the spelling while she was still partially sedated! Something similar could have happened with Prince. After all, Rogers is a bit more unusual than Roger (and it ain't much cooler ) Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

check his birth certificate!!! Y'all keep saying that. I'd be glad to, if somebody would tell me where to find it. I checked the gallery and unless the search function isn't working there either , it's not there.

You guys have no idea how often there are typos or misspellings on birth certificates...
I was just recently looking on a geneology site and found the birth records for many of my aunts/uncles/cousins, I'd say about 1 in 8 had something wrong on it... My grandma also told me that she was listed as a boy originally on her birth cert
