You appear supremely convinced that Prince is either full of shit I think that's what it comes down to. I don't doubt that Larry Graham (or whoever) has convinced him that swearing is naughty-naughty. I guess I just feel that Prince tells many fibs and - hey - I don't like it when people tell fibs (especially when they seem to have so many seemingly impressionable people taking their every word as gospel). I still maintain that it is contradictory for someone to preach that swearing is wrong yet not denounce their own work that features swearing (and I still firmly believe he answered the "Erotic City" question the way he did for financial reasons).
So, yes, I guess my main point is "Prince is a liar-liar, pants on fire". That's not to say he doesn't have good qualities (he's certainly given us some great music over the years), but it doesn't mean I give him a free pass on everything. Respectfully, Ace | |
