ONA Live : Official Album Release How did you guys get yours? And how much did it set you back?
I never had the money till now (maybe depending on the price) but I haven't ever seen it in my stores I don't think. Is it a box set? Maybe i've been looking in the wrong place. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

most people got it as part of their npgmc subscription.
i think it was late 2003 or something. not sure anymore it came with a free copy of the One Nite Alone piano cd for the clubmembers. the thing was also available in retail outlets but not in all of them. but a recent amount of stores seemed 2 be carrying them. i still see it sometimes in stores I go to. they usually have it back behind the counter, on display since the box is rectangular and kinda big to put among the other regular cds. NPGMC.com has it in their retail store for $ 50,- but it only carries the 3 cd version WITHOUT the piano album. However The NPGMC.com also has it in their download store where it will set you back $29.99 for the 3 live discs. The Piano album is available for $ 9.99 However, the One Nite Alone piano album is not a part of the package as such, in that the live albums stand on their own and the piano album was just thrown into the bargain for npgmc members at the end of the year when they sent the boxes out. Because the piano album had been sent out to people a bit earlier in the year and lots of people never got their copy so to make sure everyone had one, they did the easiest thing, which was to just give the entire club an ONA piano cd with their live boxsets. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Thanks for the info. I wonder if i'll be able to still find it in stores. Do you like it? Is it pretty good? So does anyone know when the ONA tours took place? and what were they supposed to be celebrating? Is it just another Prince tour and didn't really have any material to promo and just a set of songs sorta like the nude tour? "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. So does anyone know when the ONA tours took place? and what were they supposed to be celebrating? Is it just another Prince tour and didn't really have any material to promo and just a set of songs sorta like the nude tour? The main focus of the tour was "The Rainbow Children" Lp. Which is what it should have been called imo. He only played one song from the One Nite Alone piano album, and even that was just a snippet. For me personally, it was one of his best tours ever with some of the most amazing and awsome performances I ever heard him give at any stage in his career. The European aftershows in particular were interstellarly cool in that they were looooong and featured the heaviest guitarplaying by Prince ever. The concerts were very cool as well, although in my opinion these live discs in the One Nite Alone live boxset don't really show it that much. Prince intentionally recorded them to sounds more like studiorecordings than live ones, with the audience barely audible in some places. Still, it's a good package, although it's kinda thin on absolutely stellar performances, which is a shame since most of the concerts were! I believe that the aftershow disc is a cut n paste job of a couple of American aftershows. It's pretty cool but not nearly as good as any of the European aftershows and features some weird and rather dull choices of song imo. Anywho, there's enough high quality, beautiful material on these 3 discs to make it worth while. A lot of people seemed to be in love with it at the time of release although it is hardly talked about on here anymore, I notice. Personally, I listened to it perhaps 3 times since I got it more than 2 years ago. I just don't like the sound, it sounds flat and dull. But that's perhaps my own doing since I already had some of the bootlegs from the tour and spoiled myself that way. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

As Avatarfunk said,
Disc 2: One Nite Alone... Adore I Wanna Be Ur Lover Do Me,Baby Condition Of The Heart(interlude) Diamonds And Pearls The Beautiful Ones Nothing Compares 2 U Free Starfish And Coffee Sometimes It Snows In April How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore Anna Stesia However, note that for example "Condition of the Heart" only lasts 0:25 seconds or something like that and doesn't even resemble that song. Those songs are all part of a rather nice piano medley so they all segue into one another with some talking and joking by Prince with most of the songs only lasting for a verse and a chorus. The band comes back in for How Come You Don't Call Me at the end, and Anna Stesia is a full band version, and a very good one. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
