I just won the 10" white vinyl "Mountains" record on e-bay. Does anyone have any clue where this record is from? Is it a promo or officially released record or is it a bootleg? I couldn't find any info on it on the site I usually use for my Prince record questions. No matter what it is, I LOVE IT!!!

It's an official UK release - 'Mountains' was the second single release in the UK and I think this is the only 10" vinyl single released by Prince.

(I still have mine unplayed with the original price sticker attached, purchased on the first day of release - £2.49)

I put a top bid of 40 British Pounds, won it for 31 GBP. With shipping it was 38.50 GBP. That is about $68.74.

I go a little crazy spending money on his 12" singles. I finally won the UK 12" for "Sexy dancer" for $108.00 and a US 12" promo for "I wanna be your lover" for $91.00. A little bit overpriced? maybe, but worth every dollar for me I love my Prince 12" collection!!!

The one I still REALLY want is the US 12" promo for "Soft and wet"/"Just as long as we're together". I'd also like to find the US promo's for "When you were mine", "1999" with "Free" and "Automatic" on the b-side (I have the promo with the album and edit versions), "Let's go crazy (dance mix)" (I have the album/edit promo version). That would almost complete my US promo collection. I pretty much given up on "51 hours" and "Gett off (damn near 10 minute)" and ones I'm not sure exsist like "Willing and able". I also need the UK 12" picture disc of "If I was your girlfriend" to complete my 12" picture disc collection.
