I haven't talked to him since the [Revolution] reunion tour we tried to put together in 2000, and he declined doing it because of me and my homosexuality and I'm half Jewish. It came back: ‘Go have a press conference denouncing your homosexuality and that you're converting to Jehovah.' I was like: ‘I guess we'll never hear from him again.'

could this response just be a long winded way of saying 'not a chance' of a revolution reunion tour? imagine if it was prince who asked wendy and lisa the same question and they replied " have a press conference denounce your heterosexality and that your converting to athesim (sic)". is that offensive? or is it just a means to demonstrate that u would have to go against everything u stand for in order for me to go against all i believe and stand for. | |

Really? Someone is Making it SEEM like PRINCE is GAY. He was probably a guest of VERSACE. I just don't believe he attended a white party though - period. I mean, do you know what they can be like? I'm even more convinced considering that he was quoted as saying that staying with the Versaces was wierd and strange for a start - I'm paraphrasing there, but that was essentially it in a nutshell.

I wouldn't say W&L were very open about being lesbians but at the same time they never hid it. However since gay lifestyle coming more accepting and also more celebrities coming out, that when Wendy and now Lisa too slowly but surely publicly admitting they are lesbians. To them it wasn't an issue and besides they want people they are musicians first. I think they are comfortable of their lifestyle with them living in LA and lives in a liberal and gay-friendly city.
But here in anti-gay, Bush-ass kisser, and religious Indiana, I know people still have to hide who they are because the lifestyle is still frown on. I be hearing people using f**got like a common word. And there are people here who acts like Prince around the time when he made that statement to Wendy. But I think Prince was just being Prince of not thinking before he says when he suggested that request to Wendy. I think what's important here, is that whatever he did, he invited back her to rehearse and they seem to make amends. She realized that she still loves him as a person and they are still great friends. I could sense the strong bond they both had during the performance of Reflection on Tavis Smiley. | |

At this point in time Wendy has no reason in the world to kiss Prince's ass. They are on their own now. It makes more sense that they had it out however she chose to keep that from the media, something that is just between them. As long as Prince isn't touching little kids, I always love that crazy, contradicting little man. He has always said and done crazy stuff....then act like it didn't happen. He's put all of his 80's crew through HELL....but, They still love him.
