Incidently, in the liner notes for her greatest hits collection, it mentions that for a time she actually lived in Minneaopolis to record with Jam & Lewis, and that Joe Jackson made it clear he didn't want them to make her sound like Prince!

I remember the part about her saying she saw the Time and had to move away from her mom.

I also realized recently that her "My first name ain't baby" is taken from Morris telling his lady when asks "waht's my name?" and he says " It's baby aint it?"

I fogot about the movie and tour with the Time thought! Man that would've been great.
