Just wanted to get everybody's feedback as to what their favorite track or tracks are off the ONA CD. Hopefully, all of the NPGMC members have received it; I know I waited a while for mine. But it was worth the wait, ONA is an excellent CD, I absolutely love it!!!

My favorite track off ONA is "Have a Heart". I just love that song, love the melody, love the piano, and the way that Prince sings the song with such emotion and feeling. I especially love the way Prince sings "So what about the heartbreak? Everybody's had one c". Just love that song to death!! "Have a Heart" is the track that I find myself pressing the repeat button on my CD player for, so I can hear it again. Even when I'm not listening to it, that song is going thru my mind, and I find myself singing it even -- lol!!! I hope that Prince sings that song during the celly, that would make me very happy! (Prince, are you listening?). I'm wondering what your favorites are. Feel free to post.

My favorite track is Arboretum .

IMO it's the only track that is "excellent". Most of the other songs are really good, but not as polished and beautiful as Arboretum.

Here on Earth really moves me. Avalanche gets my political dander up. 'Bout damned time somebody called Abraham Lincoln what he is...a racist.

Pearls before Swine

I love "U're Gonna C Me" and "Here on Earth." I'm also diggin' "Avalanche." Those lyrics are really deep. Most artists would not even think to make a song like that.

I really like so many of them, but if I had to pick one at this moment, it would be Pearls b4 the Swine... however the title track probably is my favourite in a timeless sense... THAT voice... *melt*

'A case of u' is excellent.

Though I initially believed this to be an example of him rushing... I now really really like 'u're gonna c me'.
'Avalanche' is superb.

My favourite ? Well i guess 'here on earth' but it's too short.

Avalanche- the newest Prince masterpiece and my favorite track from ONA.


Though Here on Earth, Case of U, Have a Heart, and Young and Beautiful are all great too.

"Avalanche"... it awakens the awareness of not only the past... but the present and future as well. The correlations between the claiming of pure innocence of snowflakes and the development of a devasting Avalanche... vs. the lack of responsibility due to human actions. It is something to definetly ponder... and familiarize and educate yourself on.

My top 3 are the title track, "Have a Heart" and "Pearls B4 the Swine." If I had to pick one though, it would be the title track.

My favs: Have A Heart, Pearls B4 the Swine (if I hadn't already heard it from the 2001 club I would be even more amazed...but I've already heard it so much that it's less stunning now), and Young and Beautiful. Most posts I've read, people seem to not like Young and Beautiful, but I dig it.

i'd have to say the title track. that song gets me every time. plus, "a case of u" is pretty damn cool. being a joni mitchell fan(atic), i appreciate his version.
