SIGN O' THE TIMES was the last Prince album that meant something to me.
God I remember 1987! I literally wore out my cassette of 'Sign O' and bought a replacement tape and the CD at the same time. | |

i liked RAVE. when i first heard it my first thought was "prince is back!" it reminded me of old school prince when i first started listening to him in the 70's. the synth keyboards, the rippin guitars, the lyrics that made my head spin....plus it just sounded like fun to me. like i could listen to it all the way through without having to wish that there were better songs on the album like i've done with some of his stuff. i liked chuck d being on there and eve and i love how he remade shery crow's 'everyday is a winding road'. i could sense his sense of humor in the album which i always love and just for sheer image value i like his blue space suit and his braided hair. i thought he look fierce. "When we're kissing long and hard
