The Exodus Has Begun appreciation

This mornin I put in an old compilation into the car cd on the way to work and up popped The exodus has Begun all some 10 odd minutes of it and WOW!! its been ages since I have lost myself in this but what an awesome awesome monster!!
After all these years it still sounds fresh and would stomp all over anything funkwise these days .. anyone else?

HIGHLY overlooked song - this is an amazing track, and one I wish he had played live at the time... this is one of the few tracks I would actually love for him to re-record the vocals on to get rid of the cussing, so I could still play it on full volume in front of my wife, and when we have kids I want to train them in the funk with this one song...

On the other hand, it's perfect as it is. Listen to it on full volume while driving around the city in late Spring. Can't get much better than that.

Don't take out the swearing!!!!

I fucking love this track. Has to be played loud. Takes you to another place.

Its one of the very best! Most artists would struggle to make a song like that.

Love the whole record, minus the segues (funny the first time) and "Cherry Cherry"

One of my favorites.

The slightly different earlier verison has these cool repeating noises on the rythym that sound like someone shooting a toy laser gun. I wish the final one still had that...
