In an interview with Wendy form 1986, she stated that she always grimaces when Prince does that too her. Not meaning to be rude or that she is all "eww" but that's her intial reaction stemming from embarassment of shown affection and how to repsond to it. She does this in the Kiss video with him as well.

my pick? power fantastic...it was the end of a long love affair between prince and lisa...and both achieved an emotional peak in that song that i consider their masterpieces...

its funny how wendy and prince's relationship seems to get the most attention...but i personally think lisa and he had a much stronger bond..hence it taking lisa and prince longer to get become friends again...now that they are, lisa seems soo much more happier. she glowed when she was around him at the largo show...she seems happier then i've ever seen her.

I suppose April is a bit too understated in lyrics and instrumentation and Adore too mushy to my taste.
The Beautiful Ones is a close number one, as it blends Prince's gentle crooning with a burst of emotion and anger, using that gospel voice of his I love so much.

My top two songs? Old Friends and Power Fantastic. If pressured for a choice, I think I would go for...

Old Friends 4 Sale, as there is such melancholy in his voice, so much hurt and pain expressed throught both voice and music, it touches me everytime.

When he did this song a few years ago (I forget which tour but it had that damn Craig Mack "Flava In Yo Ear" beat towards the end of it that he seemed to use endlessly for remixes not that long ago), I didn't feel much emotion coming from him on it. Same can be said for the ONA tour, too. It just never compares to the emotion he put into it during the Lovesexy tour. Man, that was heavy back then.
