'Space' was a great single though and it should have gone massive. It's his second greatest "lost" hit - the first being 'Pop Life'. I will agree with u Justin ..... Space was Fantastic & still is 4 that matter !! Live4Love

1992 to 1997 (symbol to crystal ball) will
never be matched. | |

Maybe not my favorite, but I consider it to be one of the best. Musically very diverse and the live stuff from '93-'95 was excellent. Repo Man's got all night, every night.

Come The Gold Experience Exodus I dig them all. This is the era that took me from an every day fan, and transformed me into the (I Have To Have Every Version Of Everything That He Has Ever Done) fan that I am today. Anyone else???? Man that was an awesome era!!! TGE is hands down his best album of the 90's. I would of given my balls to seen him during that time period.

Unfortunately I lived far from any show and was broke in college. Stupid education. Where were my priorities? (Insert something clever here)

I don't really know as far as favorite era but I do like it more than it seems like some people because I really like Tour De Force, Chaos and Disorder and I LOVE Gold Experience (that album has stayed one of my faves since the first time I heard it), it just sounds so bold, full, and loud!! "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

Untill his albums were consistent and
they all were a part off that special Prince catalogue. After The Hits/B-sides Prince albums came out, without knowing if this was his last album(Come) or just a new album. He made no Videos 4 the singles, Chaos & Disorder was just an obligate release (it's mentioned on the cover). The Most beautiful Girl was a massive hit but no album followed- the WB battle- or at least it was released 2 late. It was, even 4 a fan,a difficult period. but it had some great albums:TGE,Emancipation. That's all folks Love4oneanother

The 90s is the more PROLIFIC time. The 80s it seems he was hellbent on achieving mainstream success and mission was pretty much accomplished. Even though he did it on his own terms, he backed himself in 2 a corner .Thus, I would state with confidence, the 90s were quite the prolific period. He was so much more in a place where he had nothing 2 lose. Thus, mo' chances taken.
And dang if I can't stop listenin 2 TGE. That scream at the end of Endorph. BLISS. It's alright, It's okay, Jesus Told Me So.

I have mixed feeling about the mid-90's. There was great music during that time from 1992 to 1996 but the name change just put an unnecessary cloud over it. The Gold Experience should have been the 90's answer to Purple Rain in terms of commericiality. We should have been hearing about Prince left and right during 1994-95 but because of the shit between Prince and WB, when GE finally came out, any momentum that was gained was all but lost. We are still feeling the effects of 10 years ago by not hearing a new Prince song on the radio. But I go back to what I said, the music was just outstanding. Some of my favorite songs and TGE were done in that time. Plus those who were in the know as to what was happening with Prince, especially in areas where the Glam Slam nightclubs were, it was an exciting time because most of us didn't know what was coming next. I still wish Prince had a Glam Slam club in NYC. I would have found ways to go to that club. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

This band rocked! My favorite time period and band line-up! They had so much attitude and were just wicked and wild! I really wanted to be in this band back in the day. It was one of my dreams. To hang out with these guys and kick it with them, how cool would that be! Their clothes were out of this world! I'd identified with the whole image back then. That time was great! When they did the whole VH1 thing, I was in heaven! I totally loved that band! Awesome!
