I'm really feeling this song lately. It's not my favorite P song but how often could I listen to "Sign O The Times" before I lose all hope and consider offing myself.

7 is a little muddled lyrically in parts but it is one of his most enthusiastically sung songs. There is an urgency to it, a bouyancy, that he has seldom duplicated on record. The multi-tracked voices are brilliantly used and the Middle-Eastern flavored music is undeniably catchy. One of the strangest pop hits of all time by any artist but deservedly so. This song picks me up every time I hear it and I could definitely take multiple repeated listenings of it.
