Remember the Cinnamon Girl video? What ever happened with that? Did that ever end up getting airplay? Who paid for it? IT was a good song and a great video...so what the fuck went wrong? It just sort of fell to the wayside.

World sucks. Get used to it.

it went no where ... like most 40+ acts today ... look at the STONES and their lil "try " at videos for the tour ..... essentially no air-play ...

I remember a business associate taking me aside and saying "how bout Prince and that new video ... gettin alot of news on the "entertainment tonight" ....

and i was like ... hmm .. errrm ... oh yeah .... didnt even see the new video ... or ever see it ....dont watch MTV anymore .. didnt see that it made any list .... etc ....

There was talk of it being banned for being controversial - but in the end they just buried it or hardly played it. I think they've learned that the notoriety of banning a song or video usually helps it to climb the charts - this was a far more effective way of killing it - not ban it, just choose never to play it.

There again, it might just have been because the song wasn't strong enough.

the song sucked the video was good and the controversy was interesting....what else do u want to happen?

I saw it on VH1 a few times.

The whole Musicology album just never really ignited, the songs tried too hard but failed. Cinnamon girl was by far the best track on it, why it didnt hit is beyond me.

I enjoyed the controversy surrounding the Song and Video, not that I liked the fact some people found it offensive, but the fact it was a brave thing (or stupid) to do. basically a song based on the effects of 9/11 on others ( or at least that is how I saw / heard it)

I have the Enhanced CD with the Video on there for PC. I think the actual video is well made and graphically cool, the song is funky and it is my Ringtone on my mobile

I remember in the NPGMC Forums people where kicking off about this song, saying it was racist etc??

does anyone here think that?
