Prince touring with The Time Wouldn't it be cool if the next tour Prince toured with The Time?
Get to hear Jungle Love and The Bird live again. Maybe Prince and The T could reinact some scenes from Purple Rain and Graffiti Bridge. Working up a purple sweat.

Yeah, but you see....I can't see him throwing a dame in a dumpster onstage, nor can I see him doing the "Tick, Tick, Bang" routine again. The possibility of an audience participation kinda event ( similar to Rocky Horror) has it's advantages as we could : 1. Hang ourselves when he hangs himself (in his mind) during the basement scene in PR. 2. Hang ourselves when he sings "Still Would Stand All Time" in GB. Actually, no I don't like the idea after all.

The Time performed with Prince on 1 or 2 of the Musicology dates last year. They were unannounced special guests.

Besides I still think theres beef between Prince and Morris Not anymore. P and Morris long ago patched up their differences. There is, however, beef between the guys in The Time and Jesse Johnson. That is an unlikely reunion. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

They still keep up the old "rivalry" bit on stage, but it is all an act. That is an unlikely reunion. This is true - the so-called "beef," has been over for quite some time. Prince compliments Morris every chance he can - see Drummer magazine article last year. With the passage of time (no pun intended), wounds were healed, money was funnled (eventually) to the right places (especially with The Time being a favorite live band act in small venues). However, I did not know that Jesse and The Time had problems - if there is something to substantiate that claim, please explain. I have often wondered just what JJ is doing and how he feels towards his former bandmates. Next to Prince, he is probably one of the most under-rated guiterists out there.

I read in one of the numerous bios (I forget which one off the top of my head) that when The Time's original lineup reunited to tour in 1990, they actually voted at one point to kick Jesse off the tour (apparently it was unanimous). I have no idea why, although there were rumours. Last I heard, Jesse was still pissed at them.
