I am going to rankl all the Prince albums up to 1998 out of 5, others may add later albums or give different scores but here goes. I don't know much of the later ones to comment.

5 Stars (Classic)
Dirty Mind, 1999, Sign of the Times (Best)

4 Stars (Very Good)
Controversy, Purple Rain, Parade, Black, Gold Experience, The Crystal Ball

3 Stars (Average to Good)
For You, Prince, Lovesexy, Diamonds and Pearls, The Hits/Bsides (nearly 4), Emancipation

2 Stars (so so to fair)
ATWIAD, Batman, Graffiti Bridge, Symbol, New Power soul, Exodus,

1 Star (Poor to awful)
Come, Chaos and Disorder, Gold nigga, Kamasutra ballet

0 stars (dreadful)
No albums this bad, but maybe Maytes album would rank here

5-star albums
Prince, 1999, Purple, Parade, Sign, Lovesexy, Rainbow

honorable mentions: Madhouse 8, Madhouse 16

No Prince album deserves a one star review, and in he mind of any professional critic very few should even be considered getting under three stars. Or bananas or whatever they are giving these days.
