June 9, 1989 - Batdance / 200 Balloons 7" released.

This is a highly under-rated b-side in my opinion. I love the funk of the stop-start around 3:19. Reminds me of something Michael B said in the Q interview about the essence of funk: it's as much the space between the notes as the notes themselves.

Batdance itself, I could take it or leave it. It's one of the first tracks which got me into Prince, but now I am older and wiser. Certain sections are great, though.
