I'm curious... Has there ever been a Purple Rain comic book? It seems like the Purple Rain setting and characters are well suited for a comic book...

All those costumes... and the mask Prince wears during Computer Blue. An over the top rivalry between bands... And names like "The Time" and "The Revolution"... Is it just me?

yeah, there were a couple of prince comic books, but no purple rain comic.

I got both the Alter Ego and the other one, Three Chains Of Gold, from a friend of mine, but as far as I recall there was a third one, which looked a bit more amateurish in comparison.

I'm pretty sure I have an unofficial biography (Rock n Roll Comics or something). Memories a little rusty here, but I seem to recall it having a Purple Rain based cover.

Also, talking of comic book style Prince, anybody remember Naughty Nelson in Dream Nation fanzine? Has this ever been collected anywhere? With all the galleries of old Prince photos, is there a gallery of Prince cartoons from fanzines across the years?

I have 3 Prince comic books. (I know, I'm such a geek )
One is from the 3 chains of gold era, one has the grafitti bridge look, and one has him in a black leather jacket holding the guitar from sign of the times. I've never read any of them though, so I couldn't tell you what they were about.
