When ATWIAD first can out I wore that cassette tape out playing that one song over and over so much that I thought the beginning of America was messed up because of me

It's funny to think how this song was not very appreciated when it came out. It was often described as throwaway and filler. It was easy to dismiss at first because it's not as ambitious as other songs on the album. But over time, the song has turned into a true Prince classic. Its main charm is of course the percussions -- one of his best as a drummer/percussionist. | |

Tambourine makes me think of egyptian dancers and oriental rythm. And I do have one of the tambourine he gave for the sign peace the time show, on the wall of my dining room. This song is great. | |
