when 2 R in love - does it fit LOVESEXY or THE BLACK ALBUM better? always considered the song in the wrong place on THE BLACK ALBUM, and really well fitting on LOVESEXY..
THE BLACK ALBUM just isn't about sugary love songs....to funky for that shit!

Definitely Lovesexy. It doesn't belong on the Black album at all. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

It fits very well on "Lovesexy" where it seems in the right place
flowing from one song into another effortlesly However, I've always liked the way it was placed on the Black Album since it gave the album it's only real restingpoint. It offered a bit of a counterweight for all the machismo, swagger and darkness on the album. Without this song, I think the Black Album would have been dark beyond hope. "When 2 R In Love" gave it a conscience. But I still like it better on Lovesexy and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

It's perfect on The Black Album... Same dark tone as the rest of the songs...

I don't think it fits on either album! Perhaps it would have been better on Batman, it's a bit Scandalousy, or Grafitti Bridge, after We Can Funk or something, I don't know - certainly my least favourite song on Lovesexy and 2nd least favourite on the Black album (after Dead On It).

I'd say LoveSexy. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

It seems like a link between 2 albums and 2 concepts. Lovesexy is the spiritual and Black is the sensual. It added sensuality 2 the spiritual and spirituality 2 the sensual. I think it relaced Pink Casmere on Lovesexy, which probably would have fit the album better musically,

I'd say the Black album, but i'm glad it made Lovesexy only because i don't see Pink Cashmere fitting in there...

Definitely Lovesexy, all of the Black album is weird or dark. Theres something redeeming even if it has a sparse sound. Its a sweet love song, sticking it next to Bob George is like putting God next 2 the devil
When 2 R in Love is also my favorite Prince song! 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince
