I just can't stop writing songs about you
I love you so much Love that line. That happens to me. I get on my own nerves. I appreciate it. When it comes to funk, i am junkie

I love the way he comes in, "Call me. Call my name..." It makes u wanna say, "Priiiinceeeee!".
I do agree with Rhondab. P had everyone's nose open with this one, epecially the young ones. I was suprised when I was watching 106 and Park and they played this song. All the girls were singing it. Shake....shake, shake, shake.

A great song. This song would have been massive had the proper type of promotion been behind the song. People who didn't care much for Prince liked this song. I think that this will stand up in the history of Prince songs. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I appreciate it. me too, it's quite annoying and pathetic, but I can't help it This song is pretty good, nothing spactacular I much prefer his more powerful ballads with more screaming and guitars over the mellow RnB ones (ala Adore) but it ain't bad If you will, so will I

my best friend is far from being a Prince fan, but he loves this song (and most of the Musicology album) If you will, so will I

I think this is a very good song, extremely well-crafted, lovely arrangement and production. Great hooks, and interesting melody. Very well performed.
Some people I'm sure will think it's a bit slick, that it's another one of those RnB ballads he can run off the formulaic production line etc.. He's written better lyrics but, for me, that's a small gripe about an excellent composition. . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

I also love how he quotes the streetname in my city (the bridlepath).

It's a good enough song, and one of my faves from Musicology, but it's NO WHERE NEAR on my list of favorite Prince songs.....
It is a real stand out tune, BUT..... Could it just be that maybe we've come to expect less outta the man over the years? So this VERY COMMERCIAL Prince song is what were clinging too, and saying LOOK, LOOK.....PRINCE IS BACK! As for me, I'm still waitin' for the REAL gem.....

Great song! It was definitely felt by lots of younger listeners (teens). This makes CMN the first Prince song to do that since The Greatest Romance. I think that is a good thing. In fact, in terms of total R&B radio airplay (Urban + Urban AC), CMN was probably as high as #6 out of the 80 songs on those two charts. In cities like D.C., he could end his shows with that song. It was that big.

It's good, but nothing Prince can't do very easily. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
"You still wanna take me to prison...just because I won't trade humanity for patriotism."

I give it 4 out of 5 stars. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Call My Name is yet another whingey luuurrve ballad that Prince has done so many times before. And the lyrics are so syrupy, even Celine Dion would laugh at them.
It's always skipped on my CD player.

I really don't see what people are still waiting on since they will continue to shit on anything he does. I guess the real truth is that the hardest people to please will be the ones that claim to love u.
" I work on pleasing me cause I can't please u and that's why I do what I do..." spelled 'doody' by accident [Edited 9/24/05 8:24am] Shake....shake, shake, shake.
