No - I like this really.

Gets better and better with age. I don't even think I liked it when it first came out. LOVE it now, especially his kinda "special" sounding moan halfway through.

Songs like this, and Cream, MBGITW, I just NEVER listen to, and skip them if they come on.

I do still like the Houstyle and Flutstramental mixes though.

I really like all of the remixes. I don't listen to the actual song much. But, yeah, it's a cool song.

Love the booming sound of this song. This song just sounds HARD...no other way to describe it. The video was one of his best...it matched the song perfectly. I love the sense of mystery at the beginning...Diamond and Pearl being let behind the doors by the big dude guards so they can witness a full-fledged purple orgy.

Embarrassing sidenote...when I heard the 12 inch was out I HAD to get it right away so I went to the record store and bought it. It was so damn hot in Columbia that summer that the record melted and got warped on the way home so I had to listen to it like that for a day. I bought a non-melted copy the next day and rocked out! Man, I miss vinyl!

Does anyone remember the stripped down version of "Get Off" that was first released to radio. I remember hearing it at the radio station in Chicago when Tom Joyner was still on the airwaves there (WGCI). I can't seem to find this version anywhere (The drums are more straight forward, the sound effects and vocals are very minimal)...Help a brother out...Does it have a name?

I loved "Gett Off" when I was 12!

I've been listening to the "Glam Slam 91" all day yesterday
and I love how he changed that demo into "Gett Off".

It shows you how his demos can evolve into something else
completely. Makes you think about some of the songs we've
come to know as bootlegs and how they would turn out if he
put some more time into them.

Gett Off is a slamin' song, but all the different formats
in which it was released are kind of confusing.

I'm still disappointed that the album version does not have
that "we can do it in the kitchen on the floor etc etc" bit
in it.

How could I not chime in on my jamm?

It's such a great song, I decided to take it for my name (and it's stuck with me for years now.....)

But seriously, the screams in the opening bars of the song just set it off and it builds and builds from there...
