In retrospect, I'm surprised Prince didn't follow up Musicology very quickly (say, 6 months later), with something that sounded completely different, either in stores or through the music club - this would have been a way to demonstrate his diverse musical talent while also placating the fans who thought he sold out. But, hey, it's his career, not mine. I'm just here to enjoy the ride.

That would have killed the Musicology sales and releasing stuff through the music club only is a waste.
