Nah, I think Jamie Foxx was very very good, Fantastic actually. I cant think who could've played Ray better than Jamie. Just like Prince said himself "U(Jamie) didn't just portray Ray Charles, U were Ray Charles".

Prince couldn't play anyone else in a movie, he doesn't have that quality.

Not that Ray was a great movie at all, I found it rather tiresome, but still, Prince wouldn't have made it less so.

Prince is not a very good actor. Granted he's not quite as horrible as many people say he is, but making movies is definitely not his strong point (unless they're concert/performance movies like Sign O' The Times). Jamie Foxx did a fantastic job portraying, yea becoming, Ray Charles in Ray, even though the movie itself was a thoroughly average bio-pic (raised just above mediocrity by the great music and performances). In terms of voice, Prince is a great singer but he's never demonstrated the ability to immitate a voice like Ray's (Ray was also an incredible singer with a great falsetto, who sang seemingly female backing vocals on the song "I believe to my soul"), and btw, the singing in the movie was a mixture of the original versions, performances re-recorded by Ray Charles himself expressly for the movie, and in some cases, Jamie Foxx immitating Ray's voice.

Oh yeah and Prince looks NOTHING like Ray and his personality/mannerism/way of carrying himself are So completely different that it's just laughable imagining him portraying him.

I think Prince would have done a really snazzy job as Ray. Jaime didn't even really LOOK like Ray. I definitely would have picked Prince over Foxx.
