Promo and Retail E.P.s

Does anybody own any of those E.P.s on cassette or CD?

"Limited Edition" and "Twelve Inches On Tape" were retail items and the others are promo items but they're like little lost Prince albums.

I only ever owned "Twelve Inches On Tape". I bought it after buying my first Prince album, "Parade" and if "Parade" hooked me, this E.P. fucked me! I still sequence my Winamp playlist sometimes, to recreate the tracklist.

Limited Edition

Twelve Inches On Tape

The Story So Far

Eye Love Prince

Nothing Compares 2 Him

The Crown Jewels

I know! It's so... quaint.

The phenomenon of these sampler cassettes appears to be a European thing. The last one is (obviously) a CD from 1992.

When I think of the 80s, I think of cassettes.

It's not a tape but this is a officially released E.P. in Australia:

Tracklist:

Side A:
1 1999
2 Uptown
3 Controversy
Side B:
1 Dirty Mind
2 Sexuality

I'm still searching for this one, it's kinda rare.

That is an amazing site. I don't know who is behind it, but they have REALLY done their homework. Parts of it are not online now because of bandwidth, but DAYAMMMM they've done some serious research.

Thank you to whoever is behind it!
The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

It's great, isn't it?

I love Sleevographia but it (obviously) only covers vinyl.

Somebody deserves a medal for the Prince Collector's Reference site. It's clear, concise and doesn't rely on flashy graphics. It took me a while before I realised that you have to click on the Track Numbers to see the tracklisting though!
