the newfunk samples series i'm listening 2 this right now. seems that only a part of it has emerged on p2p's but... mmmhhh there's GREAT shit 2 use on this 4 a musician... i think i'm gonna use some in my band

i wish i'll find all these crazy sounds from "race" I found this weird CD of the RACE track masters a while ago in a 2nd hand CD shop. No cover art or anything. Just said RACE - PRINCE. I bought it. It has the four track acetates on it - Track 1 RACE vocals, TRACK 2 guitar, Track 3 Bass, Track 4 Drums/Samples. | |

It has the four track acetates on it - Track 1 RACE vocals, TRACK 2 guitar, Track 3 Bass, Track 4 Drums/Samples. I think it comes from the CD-Rom Interactive. Un4tunatly this option doesn't work on my copy of it 
From where i am in my listening it seems that P has kept his best sound 4 himself, including purpleaxxe, but i still have a lot of tracks 2 listen 2. Lots of beats r unknown, must come from Vault outtakes... mmh... (later) Well, i'm done with it, i actually had many times the same loops & sounds, faaaaar from the whole thing, not much finally. The Newfunk Samples CD was never manufactured. The only samples going around are
the ones used in the trailer/advert for it that was on Prince's website at the time. | |

Since it was never actually manufactured, how do you know for sure it's Prince's work and not just some other sample cd someone's mis-labelled with a few drums and sounds that appear in Prince's work? Those are probably the samples from Mr. Hayes's sample/patch banks, which were circulating since 1997... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

Those are probably the samples from Mr. Hayes's sample/patch banks, which were circulating since 1997... Neversin. No, they're more recent cuz some mention the "NPG ahdio shows" & stuff like that. Mostly, though, it's stull from the Come/Gold/Exodus era + some more recent samples like "face down" & the NPG ahdio stuff. | |

It has 2 b authentic cuz some of the samples feature parts of songs separated from the rest of the mix that no one but P couls have extracted | |
