The Las Vegas concert DVD is FABULOUS! I know I am kinda late, but I just got the DVD and am totally blown away by it. Prince´s just phenomenal. And the mixed version of Stroling and You want me is pure heaven. What albm is You want me from? I just looooove this song. Prince´s dancing is sooooo cool in it as well. He reminds me of MJ at times with his poses while playing The Work. I just fell in love with him all over again. What a genius. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

The dvd is okay, but why was a three hour concert cut into an 80 minute dvd? While I was not at this particular show, I did attend the One Night Alone Tour in New York City, and the Dvd did nothing to capture the intensity and intimacy of that tour. [Edited 9/15/05 12:37pm]

ohhhhh, I wish I was there! I knew that this must be nothing to what the real show must have been.
Are there any more concert DVDs? I just have the Rave and the Vegas concerts. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. For a DVD to be fabulous it needs to be shown in its entirety and it needs to look better then a bootleg. IMO it's one of the best Prince bootleg ever.

[Edited 9/15/05 18:05pm] I do see why folks are negative about it. It is an 80 min dvd cut from a wonderful 3 hr show. I've mentioned before, a TERRIFIC drumming entrance (among other things) is cut and I have no idea why. It also does seem like it was done by a minor league company. But it's a live Prince show on dvd...overall I love it and it's even more great because it captures glimpses of what, for me, was a WONDERFUL night. I'm firmly planted in denial

I've said it before on other threads on this subject that the real crime was that the whole show wasn't released. I was there and there was great stuff from the concert that wasn't on the DVD. I'm glad that those who've seen the DVD enjoyed it because it really was a fantastic show. The whole day and night was fun and in a lot of ways it changed my life because I met a few of my lifelong friends while on line. It brings great memories and since it was the end of 2002, my year ended on a very high note with that show. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yeah, I also think it´s a wonderful DVD, but I can understand that ppl who really were there must be dissapointed. You can´t capture the magic of the atmosphere and all your experiences on DVD, That´ll never be able to capture that. But it´s sad that they cut it, I believe that a lot of wonderful stuff must have been cut out. It´s a shame. But for us, who weren´t there, it´s still simply a DVD stuffed with the funkiest music EVER!!! Gotta love it.
BTW who sings originally Rollecouster of love? "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
