I really like thjiquesetion. I would ask some specifics and expound. Specifically:

- How did you go from being just a competent session player to an all-around musical threat on most every non-wind instrument:).
- How have you changed since the Post-Revolution days.
- His musical inspirations -- and will he ever put out material that is equal to or greater then the 1978 to late 1980s period.
- Tell me the truth about those musical sessions:)

Much more, but all my conversation would center around his music. He, like everyone else, deserves to keep their private life private. Though it is fun to speculate his thoughts and actions from that perspective, does it matter?! He is still a huge muscial talent who also happens to be a legend. He is left his stamp several times over. So P: Let's talk about that.

i'd want him to be real with me. tell me who REALLY wrote or helped write what songs. who REALLY is playin on that track.etc... i'd ask him about his childhood, in hopes of finding a connection as to why he's such an ass. i'd ask if he has any regrets (career wise, lovelife wise, friendship wise). i'd ask about his child and what went down with that whole sit. i'd ask what was behind the susannah break up, the mayte divorce, and the mani thing. i'd ask what the hell was he thinking with graffiti bridge (i LOVe that movie, but i feel like it coulda been alot better). i'd ask how he learned guitar, and why (other than his dad being a musician) he felt so drawn to music. and lastly i'd talk to him about studio sessions and wally (u know he;s got a copy of that!).
any of questions or conversation would evolve from this

I would ask him if he would think it would be fun to put some music and melody to the lyrics I wrote for him. I would love for him to look at my juvinile stuff and laugh remembering when he wasn't awesome (when he was 7 maybe) and wrote stuff like that. I would ask him what were the most fun tracks to lay (cloreen baconskin seems like he was just shitfaced and trippin') and which just freaked him out because they started out simple and came out so amazing (Forever, If I was your Girlfriend).

it was the third night, the purple rain anniversary, the time opened up, patti labelle was there, i was 20 ft away from him, it seemed like he kicked it on accident and it just dropped, and the whole audience was like "whaaat", he smirked in a charming way, picked up the mic while laughing under his breath, and just kept going. it seemed to me that he just played so much better because of that tiny accident. instead of 110%, he gave us 150% because of it.

Eye would rather listen 2 anything he had 2 say. Go with me on this now. Yes there would b a conversation starter then eye would jus let him ripp. Eye'm sure he could jus go on n on if he felt comfortable enough. As 4 the location.....either a long ride or.....a quiet secluded location. Secluded being that it's.....away from press, work n the busy every day stuff goin on. A nice spot under a tree or jus a nice stroll. No funny business jus a lovely conversation.
