PrintableI can, in fact, think of a French super hero, he's an old Marvel Character called Peregrine whom I remember from the "Contest of Champions" mini-series back in like '82. There are also the Quebecois twins from Alpha Flight, but that probably isn't what you're looking for. | |

All in all, it wasn't nearly as good as the classic stuff from the 70s. Since it was published under the MAX line, Gerber was able to go hog wild with the sexual jokes and what-not. Personally, I thought it was more satisfying when he was sneaking the dirty jokes in under the Comic Code's noses. It loses something when it is so blatant. Still, there are some great things in there for longtime Howard readers. Dr. Bong returns, and there is a whole dig at the Disney lawsuit from a few years back (Howard is turned into a mouse for the majority of the series). Worth picking up, most certainly. Eventually i guess it will happen anyway since it looks that the whole Marvel catalogue will b essentialized in the end (though it's gonna take a while). | |

2. Take Me With U (3:54) 3. Possessed (7:44) 4. The Beautiful Ones (5:56) - the released version. I like that best.
5. God (Love Theme from "Purple Rain") (7:49) - I love this one. It's beeeyoutiful! 
6. When Doves Cry (5:52) 7. Father's Song (1:12) - a kinda nice intro to... 8. Computer Blue (11:34) - with the hallway speech 9. Darling Nikki (4:15) 10. Purple Rain (13:34) - the "not an album edit" version 
11. I Would Die 4 U (3:17) 12. Baby I'm A Star (4:54) - all in order of their appearance in the movie. The two of yous nearly have it sussed. Sci fi nerd's is prolly the way 2 go (with respect to the mighty fishpaw) cos it only has Prince music and someone elce thought puting in the time or appolonia stuff didn't gel. My one final suggestion is to take out Possessed (why did you put that sucker in there) and replace it (and I Would Die 4 U) with the I Would Die 4 U extended version which I've not heard but runs at just over 10 mins long. Explain your inclusion of Possessed if you will. Was part of it to be heard in the actual movie. I was listening to my very poor quality cut of it on the way home in the car this evening. | |

Yes. An instrumental version of Possessed is playing while Morris Day and Apollonia are talking, just before Prince sings The Beautiful Ones. Sounds good, so naturally it should be on the album (and with vocals) I've seen movies with less of a track in it that still made the soundtrack, so I think it's only fair Possessed gets to be on it. this is confusing me.
i guess theres alot i didnt know. can someone just list the songs for me real fast, not the basic rain songs, but the extended versions and the b sides and anything else that should have been on it but was cut for any reason like electric intercourse which i have never heard of before? thank you very much,shannon. | |
