Have you ever appeared in a Prince project? Promo clip?
Movie? Live concert? TV appearence? The closest thing for me is being in attendence to the Seattle 2002 portions of the ONA box set. If you listen closely, you can hear me clap my hands  | |

I'm in the Live at the Aladdin DVD and the Rave Un2 the Year 2000 DVD. Two great shows that didn't translate to film as awesome as they were to have been there....Anybody else that was there can attest to that as well. "Funk is it's own reward....." | |

I was at the first nite of the Rave shows during the Time's set and then Larry and P jamming later on. I thought the show was good too but the times between each set was way too long and it showed on the fans' enthusiasm-- which i think affects Prince's performance. Came off kind of forced IMO. Otherwise i loved the shows. In contrast, I thought the Musicology movie/Staples show via satellite came off fresh and well produced and should have been released on DVD. a fellow orger and I were at the Tonight Show taping when Prince appeared and played "Everlasting Now". We were in a crowd shot as I recall.
The performance was so amazing and it gave me chills. It didn't translate well on TV, even though it still came off great. Being there is totally different than watching it on TV. Yes, my husband and I are clearly seen a few times on The Today Show in 1998. I was the one that looks like I'm going to vomit, with my hand over my mouth the whole time! I was in such awe that he was so close and so beautiful that I couldn't help it! That was a GREAT time!! [Edited 9/18/05 17:53pm] | |
