Top Five (In Order)
- 1999 - Pure genuis. A rock, funk masterpiece rolled into a cohesive whole. - Dirty Mind - Raw, stripped down musical masterpieces from a then emerging talent. - Controversy - A great step forward with a little more polish than DM. - SOTT - One of the best albums by any artist in any genre. - Purple Rain - The classic, commercial album with a ton of musical influences rolled into the uniquness of Prince. These are my top five, but he is such a talent, let's do some honorale mentions: - AWTWIAD - What a bold step for that time and era. - Parade - Fun and dark - nice, nice stretch. - Prince - Can't forget this one - getting better from . . . - For You - Often forgotten, but lets not forget. The tracks are all him (pretty much) and he was a youngster (hungry at that). His 90s/NPG period - I get through it, but it's not my cup of tea when it comes to P. | |

I know it wasn't ment to count the votes here,
but I had nothing else to do so... As always,1999 and SOTT are the org's fav. (My last vote just put SOTT at nr 1 it seems) TGE is P's last album that does really good in this list..not a surprise.But I am surprised that the"'oldies'(the first 3 albums) do so well. 1.SOTT 2.1999 3.Purple Rain 4.Lovesexy 5.Controversy Followed by Parade.
