Prince doing the Moonwalk Do you believe that, like most of us, Prince ever tries doing those typical Michael Jackson dance moves when no one is watching..?

go to yahoo launch videos, and check it out... it's the extended version, and somewhere in the middle, he kind of does this little MJ "bad" era routine w/ his posse.

In '88 he played a snippet of The Way You Make Me Feel in a rehearsal, so who knows. Repo Man's got all night, every night.

I don't know, did he? Which ones? Yes, in Theives in the Temple video he sorta copied the alley dance scene from the The Way You Make Me Feel video. He even had the pony tail going on.

On the Chris Rock show he does a little MJ kick and does the "Hee Heee!"
during his Face Down performance I love that performance! If you will, so will I

He reminds me a lot of MJ it the "Work" song on the Las Vegas DVD concert. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

during his Face Down performance I love that performance! Exactly! That one's very obvious. Also, in the Musicology show from Madison Square Garden (and maybe the other shows as well?), he did a dance routine on "When Doves Cry" that was very MJ-inspired - he even had the fedora hat! I get the impression that Prince could have been at least as good a dancer as Michael, had he taken it more seriously. I guess most of Prince's dance moves are staged and rehearsed just like anybody else's, but still it looks very spontaneous, like he doesn't really care how it comes out - compared to Michael's dancing, which to me comes across as very meticulous and strict.

He reminded me of MJ when he did the "put the hat on while I take a cool stance in the spotlight thing" during the 'Musicology' tour. It was too much like some "Billie Jean" peerformances I've seen.

On the other hand, compare Michael's "Why you wanna trip on me" (from 1991) with Prince's "Batdance" (from 1989) - some very striking similarities!
• Both songs start with a feedback guitar chord. • MJ's rhythm track is very similar to the "Vicki Vale"-part of "Batdance", most notably the 16th-note guitar rhythm. Also, they're almost in the exact same tempo. • Both the MJ groove and the "Vicki Vale"-part starts the same way - with a looped/syncopated snare drum fill. • MJ's snare drum sound in the intro is reminiscent of Prince's "Work!" sample. There might be other similarites as well, I haven't checked it out thoroughly.

during his Face Down performance I love that performance! Ive never thought that was linked to MJ. Seriously i just dont here it. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

That was definitely original and in no way similar to anything that I've seen MJ do. Of the 5 'Musicology' shows I went to, anything Prince did, did not resemble that video.

plus these days, it's Usher's moves that Prince was vamping... Usher has stolen the Jackson moves and subtley made them more up to date and "urban". Then Prince steals them.
