It wont have charted either side of the pond. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I thought we'd come to the conclusion that it couldn't possibly chart in the UK because it is neither a solid single nor is it available to UK Itunes users.
As far as the USA, I guess it could theoretically appear in the download chart - I had a look at Billboard and Itunes but you have to log-in just to look and I can't be bothered. I doubt it will chart due to lack of promotion and because most fans will download from the NPGMC which isn't included in the download figures.

I take it u are one of these "usher" "girls aloud" fans are u... Prince summed up for musicianship and skill in S.S.T/BNO than most of nowaydays artists do in a LIFETIME!

I take it u are one of these "usher" "girls aloud" fans are u... Where do you take this from ? Got to say im digging BNO - SST is another story, theres only so much tired melody i can take and when will Prince realise people are not wanting a Jehovas preach?

I have to say, SST hasn't grabbed me very much. Call me old fashioned, but I don't know what's wrong with wanting a tune with an instantly catchy hook or groove. Musically, it seems a bit jolly for the occasion, and lyrically I don't think it flows so good. There are a few religious preachy lyrics, and the line about renewing oil? I don't get it, you can't renew oil, it just runs out. Someone explain to me what that means.
The instrumental, Brand New Orleans I like more, even though it is the sort of groove Prince can turn out in his sleep. Still impressed by how fast he put it out. By the time MJ has got together enough stars for his charity record, got them together in a studio, payed for the accomodation and travel and studio costs, etc not only will New New Orleans have been built, but the single will probably earn back less than it cost to make!

It will take another 2 weeks b4 it will chart in the us
even without including the npgmc downloads it will still safely chart in the top 40 here is my analysis of how this new system of downlaod works ""The infusion of digital sales alters the Hot 100’s formula. The chart will no longer factor in reports from non-monitored radio stations. Audience from Hot 100 Airplay is still divided by 10,000, but digital sales and retail single sales are now divided by five, whereas retail sales were divided by 10 in the prior methodology."" i have found out that the #1 radio song had a audience of 65mil and the rest of the audience for the top 100 airplay is in the table below. using the formula above i found out that 65mil needs 32.5k extra downloads position // audience // div10,000 // eqiv number of downloads needed #1 65mill 6500 32.5k #10 35mil 3500 17.5k #20 15mil 1500 7.5k #30 11mil 1100 5.5k #40 4.3m 430 2.1k #50 3.5m 350 1.75k #60 2.6m 260 1.35k #70 1.3m 130 0.65k #80 0.5m 50 250 #100 0.3m 30 150 kanye west a prime example gold digger was huge in the downloads it went from #19 #1 in one week on H100. although gold digger reached #1 in the hot 100 it was only #41 on radio airplay candy shop 50cent was the same very little airplay and lots of downloads also one of green days songs bolevard of broken dream.. it was massive on downloads the 2 songs had downloads of 40k for that week metalorange said: I have to say, SST hasn't grabbed me very much.
